New Porgera Limited (NPL) is a company incorporated in Papua New Guinea and owns the Porgera Gold Mine in Enga Province. The Porgera Gold Mine will employ nearly 3,000 Papua New Guineans at full production, and over the last 30 years of life of the mine it has contributed approximately 10% of Papua New Guinea’s total annual exports.

Recruitment Advisor to support our talent acquisition efforts. As we continue to grow, we are looking for a professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a passion for connecting the right people with the right opportunities.
As a
Recruitment Advisor, you will play a key role in sourcing, attracting, and onboarding top talent to support the operations of New Porgera Mine. You will work closely with hiring managers to ensure we bring on board the best candidates to drive our success.
In this role, you will
- Manage end to end recruitment process, including sourcing, screening, interviewing and on boarding.
- Providing update and advice on HR best practice and recruitment matters to concerned Department Line Managers and Heads of Department.
- Collaborate with hiring managers to understand workforce needs and develop tailored recruitment strategies.
- Develop talent pipelines and maintain strong networks within the mining and resources sector.
- Ensure recruitment processes align with company policies, local labor laws, and industry best practices.
- Utilize innovative sourcing methods, including social media and recruitment platforms, to attract top talent.
- Assist with employer branding initiatives to position NPL as an employer of choice.
- Provide guidance on workforce planning and market trends to support proactive hiring strategies
- Maintain a high level of health and safety awareness and comply with the NPL Occupational Health & Safety Policy and all health and safety rules and procedures
About You,
To succeed in this role, the ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and experience
- Preferably tertiary qualifications in Human Resource Management, Psychology or a related field with minimum of 3-years hands-on experience in recruitment or related field is preferable
- Experience with applicant tracking systems and recruitment technologies.
- A proactive and strategic mindset with a passion for talent acquisition.
- Basic understanding of PNG and International Labour law, Awards and Registers
- Good understanding of all relevant legislation affecting the employment and safety of persons in the mining industry in PNG
- Excellent communication skills (written & verbal) and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Proactive approach to work assignments, self-motivated and uses own initiative to take on added tasks and challenges and suggest improvement ideas
- Good computer skills and experience using MS Office applications, SharePoint, Oracle
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and work within set guidelines and procedures
Mobilization Requirement
- This position is open to PNG Citizens Only
- A Fly-In Fly-Out arrangement with a rotation of 21 days on and 14 days off
- Must successfully pass a pre-employment medical including drug and alcohol screening. (This will be arranged only for successful candidates who progress after the interview stage).
- Must have an up-to-date Police Clearance Certificate (acquired within the last 6 months).

This role is offered on a FIFO basis from Papua New Guinea with a 21/14 roster on a full time basis with a highly competitive remuneration package.
